“Dr. Runk coming into my life and taking care of me was meant to be. She’s definitely the reason that I’m still here with my family today.”

Collaboration strengthens both practices, enhancing patient care, research opportunities,
and access to services throughout Greater Cincinnati.
Oncology Hematology Care (OHC), a premier provider of advanced cancer care services throughout Greater Cincinnati and an affiliate of The US Oncology Network, announced that Cincinnati Breast Surgeons (CBS) has joined its practice. The union enhances patient care services and research opportunities for both practices while expanding OHC’s reach throughout the area by adding breast care treatment locations in Rookwood, Kenwood, and on the West side. The two physicians and one nurse practitioner from CBS unite with OHC’s group of 26 physicians and 21 advanced practice providers to provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art cancer care in convenient, patient-friendly community settings.

“Our first priority has always been to provide the highest level of surgical care to our patients,” said CBS physician Dianne Runk, MD. “By uniting with OHC and The US Oncology Network, we can continue building on our tradition of excellence by enhancing our patient care services, giving patients in our area access to even more cutting-edge treatment options close to home where they have the support of family and friends.”
OHC is a comprehensive practice offering integrated care to adult patients with cancer and blood diseases. The practice provides medical oncology, radiation oncology, gynecologic oncology, laboratory services, targeted, biological, and hormonal therapies, supportive care services, and genetic counseling and testing, as well as cutting-edge clinical trials and the most experienced cellular therapy program in the city. With seven clinic locations, OHC enables patients across the Tristate to receive superior care and advanced treatments within an hour from home, eliminating the burden of long travel that can make cancer care even more challenging.
This new collaboration adds two new breast surgeons to OHC’s breast surgical oncology department, nearly doubling the physicians available to patients experiencing a change in breast health. Through CBS, OHC will be able to offer patients quicker access to a breast surgeon, reducing their time waiting for clarity and peace of mind.

“I am thrilled Cincinnati Breast Surgeons is joining OHC, as it allows us to provide unparalleled access to expert care for our patients in the Cincinnati region,” said OHC medical oncologist, hematologist, and practice president Dr. Randy Drosick. “Our collaboration with this team of like-minded, highly trained physicians who share our vision of providing leading-edge community-based care is a perfect fit. We are excited to have them join our team, and we look forward to working with them to advance cancer care throughout our region.”
